The Soelberg's Visit to San Diego
My sister Amanda and her family came to visit last weekend. I picked them up at Disneyland and even snuck in for a couple hours of fun with them! Here are some pics from Disney :)

I almost threw up on this ride. I was screaming the whole time--the kids thought I was joking, but I was seriously freaking out! haha

Perfect San Diego Weather
I found this website that shows the average temps. and weather conditions for San Diego. I thought I would share just how perfect our weather is here!!
Typical San Diego WeatherSan Diego enjoys beautiful weather year round with an average daily temperature of 70.5ยบ (21.4 degrees Celsius). A marked feature of the climate is the wide variation in temperature within short distances due to the topography of the land. Come sample coastal, mountain and desert environments all in the span of a day.

Making our House a Home
With my sister's family coming, I finally got my bum in gear and organized our place so boxes and things weren't lying around in piles. This last Sunday, Brandon and I hung up some pictures to make our house feel more "homey". Here are some pics of the work in progress...

It's official! I got my California RN license finally!!
I got a job last week but can't start until I get my RN endorsement in CA. This has been such a process and I definitely didn't think I would ever get the darn thing, but yesterday I looked up my name on the State Board of Nursing website (like I do everyday) and my name popped up! I can't believe it!! I'm so excited to finally be official and start working! I never thought I'd be so excited to work...but being the breadwinner is quite a stressful responsibility.
More good news...I've been trying to sell my car ever since I moved down here b/c BK and I don't need 2 cars since he walks to school. I showed my car to 2 different people yesterday and they both want to buy it! Hopefully I'll get everything taken care of in the next couple days so it'll be off our hands by the time Amanda and her family come down here next Thurs. BK and I will actually have some money to play with the kids and not be so stressed! Patience has never been one of my best attributes so all this waiting has been difficult for me, but things are finally starting to turn around! I'm so happy and feel so blessed!

Husky Alum
We didn't get the channel that the Husky vs. ASU game was being shown on so I looked for a place where we could go watch it. I found a sports bar that is the "unofficial venue for U of W in San Diego" so we decided to check it out. It's in Pacific Beach which is a fun, college/surfer town. We walk into this huge beach house looking sports bar and the first thing I see is a Husky floor mat by the front door. This is a good sign :-) Then we see all these people wearing Husky gear...another good sign. One guy wearing an old school Husky shirt tells us that the game will be on the TV's in this certain section that's reserved for Husky Alums. (We find out later that this guy is the head of the Husky Alumni Association for San Diego-who knew there was such a thing!) Everyone was really friendly and it was fun to hang out with a bunch of Huskies to watch the game. Unfortunately, the game didn't turn out the way we wanted it to, but at least we could all be pissed off together. We're looking forward to going back to Pacific Beach Bar & Grill to join our fellow Huskies to cheer on the football team in weeks to come.
